This course was initially only for students who are attending a teacher training program on which Stu is the Anatomy & Physiology teacher. Due to many requests we have opened this course up for other students as well.
It is an ideal course to bring your Anatomy knowledge up to speed before you attend a yoga teacher training or for students that feel they wan’t to delve a little deeper into anatomy but first want to try out learning the basics.
Course Content
The course will help you to learn the names of the bones, muscles, muscle actions and joint movements, as well as introduce some of the basic concepts. There are videos to help with the learning process as well as quizzes to make sure you learnt what you thought you learnt 🙂
The course is delivered in a linear way so you can always go backwards but can only go forwards when you have completed the previous lessons. Your progress may be impeded by the quizzes which are timed and have a 80% pass mark.
Everybody’s starting knowledge base is different but expect to spend between 2 and 10 hours on the course. So give yourself plenty of time to complete it before your training starts!
The Quizzes
The quizzes are there as a wake up call as to whether you really have learnt the material. Don’t worry if you feel the timer is too short, you are not alone. If you actually learn the material before chancing the quiz you will find you have plenty of time. OK well maybe not plenty but enough 🙂
